One splendid, sunny afternoon, a little girl called Lilah was going home from school. She was wearing a red and white school uniform, a pony tail, a pair of shiny black shoes and a blue bag.

While Lilah was walking, she saw an unusual garden which had a ginger cat sitting in the corner. The garden had glowing flowers that shimmered in the light of the waves and tall trees that birds loved to nestle in.

The cat seemed to be pointing at a mysterious portal and it was trying to lead Lilah inside it, so she  went inside the portal with the cat. All of a sudden, they were teleported into a completely different world that nobody knew about.

Once they arrived they were surprised to see that the eye-catching land had lots of games all around them. It also had colourful, lush trees that had the sweetest fruit and were perfectly blossomed hanging from them. It had scented flowers that would attract buzzing bees that flew past them. There was a lake that, to their surprise, they could walk on… so they continued until they managed to get to the end of it.

At the end of the lake there was another mythical door. Behind the door there were some addition, subtraction,  multiplication, division, and fraction sums.

Lilah was good at maths so she answered most of them but the last one was a bit hard. It was 757 x 575 but eventually she answered it in this way:

So the answer was 435275.

After she solved the problems, a sparkling, golden box suddenly appeared in front of them. She entered the answer, 435275, on the box keypad to open it. Inside the box there were two options.

Option 1: had a crown that, if she wore, she would be the queen of the magical worlderland.

Option 2: had a red button that, if Lilah  pressed, they would be teleported back home.

Lilah  was excited to be the queen of the island because it was her dream. However, she really missed her family and friends and remembered the happiness they gave her.

After she had a little think about it, she made a decision to go back home, so she pressed the red button, and… PHOOF! Lilah and the cat appeared in the garden.

Once Lilah  arrived back home, her parents asked her where she was, but she didn't mention the adventure she had with the cat, she said “I just found a ginger cat sitting alone in a garden so I wanted to play with it”.

From then on she kept that unforgettable dream a secret and always hoped she could see the cat again.
